SHTF Survival Week

with SELCO

How good are you really?

It's easy to sit at home in front of your laptop and discuss what you'd do if the SHTF and you needed to bug out. But how good is your plan?

And more importantly, how good are YOU?

Spend an entire WEEK in Northern Sweden with SELCO and find out.

Brush up on these skills

Austere Medicine

Learn lifesaving First Responder skills. Learn to manage airways, stopping massive bleeds, treatment of shock, dealing with traumatic injuries, and much more.

Safety in the Field

Focus on outdoor safety with skills like crossing obstacles, Close Target Recon, tracking, hygiene, and locating essential resources.

Navigation

Hone your navigation skills.
You will learn to plan multiple routes using maps, compasses, and topographical elements to find your way to safety.

Then the challenge is on.

Next, you’ll put it all to the test in a scenario plucked straight from the headlines.

A crisis has occurred while you are traveling and you have only 3 days to navigate on foot to a rally point. The instructors will plant obstacles along the way to challenge you further during your 3 days in the field.

Meanwhile, to add authenticity, you will be tracked by local hunters. Can you evade them while all hell breaks loose around you and get to your target destination and safety?

There’s no better way to see if your skills are as good as you think they are. And if they’re not? It’s far better to learn it now instead of when your life – and the lives of the ones you love – depend on it.

No other course has this kind of realism. You’re learning from the very best in a scenario that isn’t all that far-fetched.

"The instructors are some of the most knowledgeable people in their fields and I am truly fortunate for having had the privilege of learning from them first-hand. My primary take-away was the realization that there is a cavernous difference between prepping for a disaster and surviving a disaster. "

Frequently Asked Questions

As always our courses are designed for and thrive in our ‘live environment’ training. This course takes us to a new level of awareness and dynamic risk management as we will now be moving from an Urban to a wilderness environment and back again, on a regular basis.

The forests of Northern Sweden are dense, extensive and filled with both terrain (uneven boulder strewn, marshy and root twisted terrain intersected by waterways), topography (constant changes in terrain angle and substrate) and environmental considerations (wild animals, fluctuating weather, extreme seasonal transitions) to identify, understand and manage.

Throughout the course your instructors will be on hand to guide, mentor and coach you in the principles and strategies recommended to surmount these various obstacles.

As always our ‘self select’ model will be present throughout the course, meaning students have no pressure to participate in activities they do not feel comfortable with.

During the ‘bug out’ phase, clear safety and communication protocols will be established, along with rendezvous points and cut off times, to assist students in taking responsibility for their own well being.”

At this time, we do not have any courses scheduled in the United States. The Bug Out experience is location-specific and will only be offered here in Sweden for a variety of reasons.

All sales are final. The moment you order, we begin to arrange local transportation and accommodations for your visit. As well, once the course is full, we close our shopping cart. For these reasons, we are unable to offer refunds.

YOUR INSTRUCTORS

Selco Begovic

Selco survived the Balkan war of the 90s in a city under siege, without electricity, running water, or food distribution. He gives an inside view of the reality of survival under the harshest conditions. He reviews what works and what doesn’t, tells you the hard lessons he learned, and shares how he prepares today.

Selco is a prolific blogger and is the author of The Dark Secrets of SHTF Survival, The SHTF Anthology, and SHTF Survival Stories, Volumes 1 and 2.He teaches online survival courses at SHTF School and shares his knowledge to small, select groups in his physical courses in Europe.

Regardless what happens, chances are you will never experience extreme situations like Selco did. But you have the chance to learn from him and how he faced death for months. Let Selco use his experiences to help you even the playing field.

Toby Cowern

Toby brings a broad range of varied competencies and skills, offering counterbalancing concepts and thoughts to harmonize alongside Selco’s applied experiences.

Toby is a leading wilderness survival instructor specializing in extremely cold environments. Drawing on his experience and top-level qualifications as a risk management specialist he will show how to apply these assessments and methodologies to both preparedness and survival activities.  As a former member of the elite infantry British Royal Marines and current member of I19 Infantry regiment which serves above the Arctic Circle, Toby will help expand on personal safety and security considerations and techniques, as well as appropriate crossover of military skills to the average civilian.

A former professional qualified member of British Military Intelligence, Toby will teach you the importance and ability to gather and process information, in various forms and environments. This segues with one of Selco’s most vital subjects covered, that of dealing with ‘misinformation’.
